We hope that you are having a blessed week. Our first Monthly Breakfast Meeting will be on Thursday, October 10th at 9:00am – 11:00am at Twelfth Baptist Church, 150 Warren Street, Roxbury, Rev. Arthur T. Gerald, Jr., Pastor. We look forward to seeing you, and receiving your input, suggestions, along with some short and long term goals we can work towards. We will be sharing our next steps for this organization, some expectations, along with some short and long term goals from our valued friends and partners.

Darrin D’Wayne Howell will be sharing some information about the ‘Minimum Wage’ rally that took place over the summer which TenPoint, local media, labor unions, various organizations, churches, community residents, and our elected officials participated in. Darrin will also share some ways that we can continue to support our people in the community that are working for billion dollars companies for unfair wages.

Steve O’Neil, Executive Director for EPOCA – Ex-prisoners and Prisoners Organizing for Community Advancement. He along with his team will be sharing some information about the ‘Jobs Not Jails’ campaign that will be taking place in April 2014.
The Patrick Administration has estimated that, if current criminal justice policies are not changed dramatically, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts will have to spend $2 billion in the next seven years, to build 10,000 new prison units, as well as $150 million more each year to fill them.
