starTruth Based Curriculum

Boston is seen by the world as a hub of education, innovation and technology. Current sciences such have now confirmed that life began in Africa. The question is: once we have discovered that the world is not flat how long does it take us to update our schools? Or do we continue to teach what we now know to be false. A truth-based curriculum would encompass all human histories (including Black, Latino, Asian History) and use the most up to date scientifically verified information as the basis for its world history.

starQuality Schools

Boston has shown that within the BPS it can create excellent schools like Boston Latin and Latin Academy, many of the Pilot Schools and others. starEntrepreneurial classes in School

We must prepare our students for an ever-changing workplace and marketplace. Some of the world’s biggest businesses were either started in Boston or by those who at some point were educated here. It is imperative that we teach students the fundamentals of business so that they can be empowered to not only emerge from high school as workers, but as owners of their own businesses. Current trends have produced more and more young start-up businesses that break the traditional mold. Youth are becoming more business savvy- and have dreams of becoming moguls. Entrepreneur is one path to encourage local business, create a sustainable economy and increase employment.

starJ. D. Nelson fellowship – finance, investing

Boston recently lost a giant in the world of finance. Mr. J. D. Nelson was the founder of RhumbLine which currently manages $32 Billion in assets. Mr. Nelson’s brother, Judge David S. Nelson, was one of the first African-American federal judges and upon his passing they established a fellowship program for those students who have an interest in pursuing a legal career. Similarly, I am currently working with the Nelson family, to establish a program for students who want to learn finance and investing.
