“Many people felt the same way, basically they don’t care about us. Something happens to them, it’s a big deal. The wheels of the world stop. Something happens to us, it’s just kinda like, you people better deal with it. You people did it to yourself,” Crawford said.

Some 80 percent of violent crimes take place in Dorchester, Roxbury and Mattapan. Crime affects the psyche and reputation of the entire city, but none more so than in neighborhoods where it happens. Now the problem will be in new hands.
Many people have asked me “Why are you not smiling for your campaign photo on your signs, flyers and newspapers?”
The meeting will be chaired by Board Director Joseph Eubanks.
Candidate for District 7 Boston City Council Jamarhl Crawford will meet with the Boston Vulcans to discuss his ideas for District 7 and hear from the members of the Vulcans about their concerns and issues.
Each candidates will be ask about their positions around supporting
the Community of Color if elected Mayor.
