The P.R.I.M.E. Directive is a multifaceted approach to promoting exisiting services and programs and developing new ones in 5 key areas:
Prevention – Stopping violence before it happens by attacking the root causes that drive people and especially youth to violence. This also includes addressing the pervasive presence of guns and drugs.
Re-Entry – Helping people re-enter society after going through the criminal justice system and avoid the things that got them there.
Intervention – Conflict mediation and resolution.
Mentoring – Offering guidance, support and love to young people who are dealing with the effects of violence and who are participating in violence.
Employment – Employment connection and job training.
